Comments
When you leave a comment on our site, we collect the information shown in the comment form along with your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. You can review the Gravatar service’s privacy policy [here](https://automattic.com/privacy/). Once your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public alongside your comment.

Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from images on the site.

Cookies
If you leave a comment, you can opt-in to save your name, email, and website in cookies. This is for your convenience, so you don’t have to re-enter your details for future comments. These cookies last for one year.

When you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we set up several cookies to save your login information and screen display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, while screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login persists for two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded Content
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves as if you visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Data Sharing
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Data Retention
Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognize and approve any follow-up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our site, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except their username). Website administrators can also see and edit this information.

#### Your Data Rights
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you, except for data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Data Transfers
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
